Prof.Dr Christian Teichert

Christian Teichert studied Physics at Martin Luther University in Halle/S, Germany; Ph.D. in 1992 (performed at Institute of Solid State Physics and Electron Microscopy, Academy of Sciences of GDR / Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, Halle, Supervisor Prof. Heinz Bethge; 1992/93 Postdoc with  Prof. G. Comsa (Alexander von Humboldt fellowship) Research Center Juelich, Germany, 1993-1996 Postdoc with  Prof. M.G. Lagally, UW Madison, U.S., 1996/97 Postdoc with  Prof. J. Kirschner, Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, Halle, Germany; 1998 Assistant Professor, University of Leoben, Austria, Head of Scanning Probe Microscopy Group Leoben; since 2001 Associate Professor, University of Leoben.

2002: Gaede Prize of the German Vacuum Society. 2014: reactivated fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Organizer of several International Nanoscience Workshops and Symposia. From 2010-2019 he was secretary, Chair and finally vice-chair of the Nanometer Structure Division of the International Union of Vacuum Science, Technology and Application (IUVSTA). Currently, he is President of the Austrian Physical Society.
