Educational engagement:
- Jelena Pešić participated in the master’s thesis, and she is currently the supervisor of doctoral thesis under the title “Investigation of the influence of strain on the properties of heterostructures of two-dimensional monoḫalcogenides of the IIIa group by ab-initio methods” at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade.
- In March 2020, Jelena had an Erasmus+ teaching visit to Johannes Kepler University, Linz, Austria.
- From March 2023, he leads an internship at the Institute of Physics in Belgrade, for a student of the Faculty of Physics
Skills:
- Research of physics of layered and 2D materials using ab initio methods (electronic, vibrational, magnetic, mechanical, optical and structural properties, Electron-phonon interaction and superconductivity in 2D and layered materials and strain effects in low-dimensional systems);
- Advance computational methods in solid state physics: GPU application, HPC and High Throughput computation, automatization and machine learning methods for material science;
- Sample production and characterization of 2D materials
