WORK PACKAGES

WORK PACKAGE 1

Design and characterization of 2D material-based tiled network films

Objectives:

  • Developing procedures for the exfoliation and design of thin network films-coatings from several pure or heterostructured materials based on h-BN, and 2D clay materials deposited on solid substrate.
  • Building a database of thin films from 2D-based material properties obtained from their physical and chemical characterization along with the conservation demand properties, transparency, hydrophobicity, and reversibility.

WORK PACKAGE 2

Heritage sample preparation

Objectives

  • Selection of artefacts which will be include in the research, and fragment sampling from the localities
  • Preparing sample-copies of original artifacts

WORK PACKAGE 3

2D materials – artefacts compatibility investigation

Objectives

  • Color, structure and morphology investigation of the artefact
  • Establishing a concept for applying designed coatings by examining their influence on the structure, texture and morphology of the prepared sample-copies of artifacts.
